EUROPE MEETS GRAINFATHER AT BRAU BEVIALE 2014

All in One Grain Brewing System to Revolutionise Homebrewing

With a successful launch in New Zealand and then Australia, the Grainfather is now ready to take on Europe!

Brau Beviale

Brau Beviale 2014 saw it’s usual crowd of enthusiastic craft breweries and brewers, but this year the game had a new player! The Grainfather is the next big thing to take on the homebrewing (and distilling) market and we travelled all the way to Germany to meet keen European brewers and show them what we’re bringing to them soon. It’ll be launching in late March 2015 to the UK and Europe!

This breakthrough product, comes from Kiwi company Imake Ltd, and will produce perfect craft beer at home for only a fraction of the price of commercial equivalents.

Although a predominantly European crowd was expected, Imake had vistors from South America, India, USA and more buzzing around the unit just trying to get a look or a touch! Marketing Manager, Saskia Thronton described that it was amazing to see so many people and with only two staff manning the stand, it was impossible to find a pause in the day for them to even eat lunch!

From commerical craft brewers to homebrewers, homebrew retailers, homebrew distributors, everyone wanted to see how it worked and when they could own their very own. Due to the interest we’ve already doubled the number of Grainfathers set to ship to Europe following the show.

Grainfather

As the craft brewing craze continues to rise, Imake Ltd is rising to the challenge. Homebrew is no longer the one taste, only-bearable-because-it’s-cheap kind of drink. Imake’s homebrewing brand Mangrove Jack’s provides innovative beer kits and specialty brewing yeasts and hops, meaning homebrew is now delicious, flavoursome but still cheaper than the commercial stuff.  And now, the Grainfather is here for the people who want to  give it a go from scratch.

The Grainfather is an all in one brewing unit allowing the homebrewer to start with crushed grain, then mash, sparge and cool, all in the one unit. It gives homebrewers the chance to really experiment, and gain control over their brewing ingredients and process. The options are limitless.

A product like this has been out of reach for the casual homebrewer due to price and availability, until now. Some similar units retail for up to around €1900-2000. The Grainfather will retail for around €750 including the sophisticated counter flow wort chiller.

Features

The features of The Grainfather will astound most homebrewers and impress those who are a bit more in-the-know with this type of mash tun!

  • The sleek look, with the logo stamped in, means the unit will be a proud item in the home, made of high quality material such as 304 grade stainless steel, tempered glass, magnetic drive pump, copper cooling coil plus more, it’s amazing that the price is so low.

  • 30L capacity, means it can produce approximately 25L of craft beer at one time without taking up huge amounts of space in the home.

  • The magnetic drive pump helps extract all sugars in the grain giving optimal brewing efficency.

  • This breakthrough product has a unique expandable grain basket, meaning it can make both very high ABV beers (almost 10%) as well as lower ABV beers.  This is different to all other all in one brewing systems on the market.

  • The counter flow wort chiller is an impressive and efficient inclusion - the Grainfather counter flow wort chiller runs wort through a counter flow copper coil, chilling one way while hot liquid goes the other. It chills 25L of brewing wort in under 20 minutes! It also runs the chilled wort from The Grainfather straight into a separate fermenter, without the need for pouring. Too easy!

  • Another breakthrough feature, like no other before it, is that it can be changed into a pot still by fitting on our Still Spirits brand’s Alembic Pot Still setup for making your own whiskeys from grain.

Excitingly, this versatile and affordable product is not far away!
