MASSIVE KICKSTART TO KIWI-BORN GRAINFATHER IN USA & CANADA - OVER $145,000 PLEDGED BY FANS - 20 March 2015
It only took two weeks (halfway through their month-long (Feb-March) campaign) on Kickstarter for Kiwi company, Grainfather (parent company - Imake), to reach its $50,000 USD goal.
With two weeks still to go, they had to add almost double the amount of units available to continue the campaign through to the end. Ending on a high, they made almost three times the goal amount!
This campaign means the US and Canada will receive the Grainfather up to two years earlier than they would have without the extra funding found through the popular crowdfunding site - Kickstarter. The Grainfather is set to revolutionise homebrewing statewide!
Watching the campaign daily, nerves were high at Grainfather HQ in Albany, Auckland, but they were soon squashed when the dollars kept rising.
THE SUPERIOR HOMEBREWING SYSTEM - WHAT'S NEW - 03 OCTOBER 2014
The Grainfather hit the market in August this year, and sold out quickly in stores and online. Now their next shipment is due to arrive in New Zealand (and launch in Australia) and preorders have already been made in New Zealand.
Grainfather has also brought out grain kits to use with the unit. The company that has brought you the Grainfather is also responsible for the popular simple, easy to use and tasty Mangrove Jack's beer kits too. These all grain kits aim to be just like them but for all grain brewers using the Grainfather.
Kits have been developed with renowned brewers worldwide to ensure they're great recipes that make great tasting and great quality beer. The first was a Behemoth Brewing Co Chur! Pale Ale. The recipe was shared with Grainfather by Andrew Childs of Behemoth Brewing Co and it proved to be a very popular drop. Since then four more have been released with expertise of UK based brewer James Kemp, with more to follow.
MAN'S NEW BEST FRIEND - THE GRAINFATHER - 25 AUGUST 2014
All in One Grain Brewing System to Revolutionise Homebrewing
Hot off the press they say, well this is definitely that! The Grainfather saw its
inauguration into the brewing industry just a few days ago at Beervana (held over the weekend in Wellington) and was released to the New Zealand public on Monday 25 August at 9am. It is sure to revolutionise home craft brewing in New Zealand and abroad. Beervana as always, saw it's usual crowd of innovative Kiwi craft breweries, avid homebrewers, beer lovers and more over the weekend. But the stand out new edition was this new item from those who brought you Mangrove Jack's brewing kits.
THE GRAINFATHER TO BE LAUNCHED AT BEERVANA 2014 - 25 JULY 2014
All in One Grain Brewing System to Revolutionise Homebrewing
Beervana 2014 is no doubt going to see it's usual crowd of innovative Kiwi craft breweries and homebrewers, but this year it'll be seeing much more than that! The Grainfather is the next big thing to take on the homebrewing (and distilling) market, and we'll be launching it at Beervana (22-23 August) as well as using it at the ever popular Homebrew Masterclass! The breakthrough product, comparable to the famous German Braumeister, comes from Kiwi company Imake Ltd, and will produce perfect craft beer at home for only a fraction of the price of commercial equivalents.
The first Grainfather owner.
